First Day of School

Pax is still just one day a week at Mother's Day Out at our church, but it's all she needs! She was up and running with excitement this morning.

Today was the start of the Fall semester and I don't know who was more excited-me or P. ; )

She had a wonderful day and actually didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up! We are so blessed to have found a wonderful school for her that loves her like she were their own. =)

still around!!

sorry sorry sorry!

I have been a terrible blogger. again.

Between our move into our new home and now my parents move...things have been in a crazy whirlwind for everyone. But, in true Pax fashion, she's trucking along with all the changes. She LOVES our new home. There's more room, all her favorite things are there, and she's really into her new room. She often spends an hour or so in her room alone each day. I'm "not allowed" ; )

Here are just a few pics!!

26 Months old

This is going to be a short and sweet monthly post. I have a 26 month year old clinging to me as I type. There are a few changes in our lives...Pax is now in the big girl bed and she's officially started working harder on using the potty!!

I don't have any measurements on her-we haven't (thankfully) been to the Dr. lately! She is still very tall-taller than the other kids her age and weighs more as well. Her shoe size is now bordering on an 8 and she wears mostly 2T...some 3T. I think she is going to be a long and lean little lady as she gets older. =) She eats anything...her most favorite thing is vegetables. I've never seen a kid who goes for her veggies first!

HAPPY 26th MONTHS LAMBIE!!

Sun catcher

Pax got a little take-home craft from a birthday party Friday night. Her little friend Scout turned two and he had a swim party. I unfortunately was a bad mommy and forgot my camera. =(

so, the next day we had all day to work on the new house. Cody has been finishing up the wood floors-which, is our first time to live in AND work in the house. Which meant I had to find activities to keep Pax busy. We exhausted everything, until I remembered the take-home paint craft!! It was just a little sun catcher, but she LOVED it. I might have to search for more of these all in one crafts.

Big Girl Bed

I haven't really blogged much about our new house renovations...mainly because I have about 100 pics that are needed to tell the story. And uploading all those is not something I have time to do! I try to keep this blog as much about Pax as possible. Anyways, I am working on a post to show the before and after of the house we bought and COMPLETELY remodeled. We bought our new house at the end of April and last night...we moved in!! There are still some projects to be completed, but we made it able to live in (with a 2 year old) and will finish along the way.

A lot of changes happened when we moved...new environment for Pax, new smells/lights, AND her new bed. We converted her crib into the daybed to complete her big girl room. I was SO nervous to make the switch, but it was time. She probably could have stayed in her crib longer, she wasn't trying to climb out or anything, I was just ready to make the move. We got all ready for bed as usual, said our goodnights and kisses and I shut the door. I had told her not to get out unless mommy comes to get you. I heard a LOT of singing and rustiling around. And I swear I checked on her every 5 min, but...she did it!!

Granted she is at the wrong end and her bed is all askew--she slept the whole night in her big girl bed. Sorry the picture is grainy, I snapped it with my cell real quick. The picture I WISH I had was what her and her room looked liked when I went to get her this morning. I heard her wake up REALLY early so I thought I would give her a chance to doze back to sleep. Even if she was awake, I didn't think she would cause too much damage. I was mistaken. She was naked-her bed was completely stripped, and I'm pretty sure an entire 84 count box of diapers was covering the whole floor. Her response? 'GORNIN'!!' (Good morning)

Ahhhh-can't help but just laugh and try again. =) It feels SOO good to finally be in our house. I'm ready to make it a HOME.

5 years strong

Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound

I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light

I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me back to the ground again

Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo

I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
