Personality

So, there are some super cute pics of us all in Branson this past weekend, but they are stuck somewhere in the interwebs or on someones camera still. I will post them as soon as I get them. Like I said, I forget I even own a camera sometimes.

We had such a great time, though. Pax got to spend some wonderful quality time with her MiMi and Poppa T. I got to shop for super-cute baby clothes (like she needed more) and Cody got to play a round of golf. It was a nice relaxing weekend-complete with a mommy/daddy dinner date! Hooray!

In the world of Lambie: We have tossed the rubber ducky inflatable tub. She hates it. With a passion. She got so worked up over it taking a bath while we were in Branson, she pooed in it. Poor baby. These are the only shots of her in the tub. Well, the only ones where she isn't screaming bloody murder. We went back to the sink. She gets what she wants...what can I say!

We have also noticed a HUGE change in Paxtin's personality. It has 100% blossomed. She is feisty and fun. Wild and adventurous. She loves riding in the cart at Wal-Mart, waving at EVERYONE. She loves to be held upside down and to be in the floor exploring. Wonder where that came from?? She is also so stinking smart. She has figured out how to sit up in her crib now and that means she can reach her music machine. It has a remote, so I will turn it on when I hear her turn it off. She reaches up there, bops it to turn it back off, and lays back down.

I heart her.

Our second highchair for our house came this week, too. MiMi had ordered this same one, but in a maroon color. It was back ordered, so we went with green. She seems happy with it!

It's really cute and mod. We love it!

So, finally, just some funny dress-up pics of Pax. I bought her some sunnies for this summer and we tried them on. We like to play dress-up with hats and stuff. (I say *we* meaning me here). I think she is ready for summer!!

We are going in for our first professional photoshoot on Thursday. I can't wait. The girl I am using, Jennifer, is amazing and her stuff is totally my style. I think we will get some candid and original shots of Pax. She is going to take her 1 year birthday pics, too.

finally, we are traveling to Siloam to visit the other side of the family this weekend. I know. We are crazy. But we haven't been to visit since Christmas. Hopefully, I will be better with my camera and will also post some of our cute Branson visit photos soon.

Have a great weekend!

On the Road Again

We decided that it is far past time to do some family visitng. We have been holed up here since Christmas and it is time to get out of town. We are going to visit Cody's mom & step dad in Branson-which is the greatest location in the world for a baby clothes shopaholic as myself. They haven't seen Paxi since we were in Colorado. They have no idea what kind of wild woman is coming to visit!
Pax is so frustrated with her no crawling. She wants to so bad and I hope that she takes off very soon. Cody thinks she is behind-which, I have to remind him that all babies develop different. She's perfect and taking her time. She wants to get it JUST right! I can tell that she has grown bored with her immobility. She wants to get down and explore.
Things seem to change rapidly around here. As of the 8 month birthday, I cut out one of Paxtin's 4 oz bottles in the mid-afternoon. She would only pick at it and I ended up throwing out more than she would drink. She takes a whopper (10 oz.) bottle when she gets up, so I am thinking that is keeping her tied over. We are eating 3 meals a day in the highchair. I had to break down and move her into some non-organic foods. It was hard for me to do, but the variety she is awarded now is astounding. HELLO-vanilla custard with bananas! She has yet to meet a jar of food she didn't like.
Pax has also discovered how to go from her belly to her sitting position. I find her most mornings sitting in her crib playing with random passies and toys. Throwing things out of the crib is a new favorite. I find a sea of chucked passies all around the bed each morning!
We are also desperately trying to get Pax out of the baby tub. It's just time. She takes baths in the sink-it's easier to wash her hair with the sprayer in the sink. She cried at first, but I think she is adapting to it well...

Cody & I thought that buying her a big inflatable baby tub for her to sit in while in OUR tub would be a great way to transition her to the big tub. She's got to learn someday! Well-I have no cute pictures of the rubber ducky inflatable bath. She hated it. She screamed and flopped around like a fish out (or in) water. It was gut wrenching. I think if we stick with it, she will learn to love it. I mean, it quacks and everything!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am hoping for a sushi dinner date with my husband while we are in Branson. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Baby Love

Paxi attended her first baby birthday party yesterday. So cute. I only managed to get one photo-I am so bad with the camera sometimes. Our friend Cady turns the big UNO today and we want to wish her a very Happy Birthday!! I am sure there will be some super cute birthday pictures on the site soon.

Also-a Happy belated Valentine's to all of our loves out there!

Sock Monkey Love

Pax finally has a highchair. Granted, it lives at her Nannie & Poppy's house, she has one. Hers for our house is on its way-thank you MiMi & Poppa T!-and I can't wait to see it. She did well in the highchair...give her a toy and she'll play anywhere. Involve food and she's sold.

So, tomorrow is Paxtin's 8 month birthday. We did our photo shoot today because she was in a happy mood this morning and you never know what she will be like tomorrow. I found the CUTEST shirt for her pics this month. Etsy is my new love. I got her ready, made her sign, and away we went.

I found out quick that the sign wasn't going to last long.

We practiced some smiles...

got a little bored...

scoped out the shirt...
And we were finally ready.

I thought the shirt looked so cute! And I went black and white for a change.
Finally, here is our hairdo o' the moment: dog ears.

Gah! I love it!

Pax & the Park

Pax LOVES to be outside. She squeals and screams when we walk outside to check the mail. Yesterday, finally, was an awesome day, so we went to the park to take advantage.

She wasn't quite sure about the slide...

Next time, we will have to find a park that has a baby swing. I am on the hunt.
8 month picture coming next week!

Hi, baby

Poor little Peepers...she's had a rough week. She caught a little cold this week and was MISERABLE for a good part of Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. This is only our second stuffy nose, so it totally throws her off when she can't breathe. She couldn't sleep at night, which meant I didn't sleep at night. It was awful. I forget just how very little sleep I got when she was first born. Things are looking better though. She has gotten much needed full nights of sleep the past 2 nights and her nose looks & sounds MUCH better. We have been sooo blessed to have such a healthy baby-2 colds is a miracle.

We are coming up on Paxi's EIGHT month birthday and I had to recount that a couple of times in my head. 8 months. Seriously. She learns new things everyday-giving kisses, how to scream when someone takes something away from her (eek), & even waving hi & bye. She's still working on it. but she's got the idea. She's so sweet.

We are also still working on the crawling. Contorting herself into weird positions is her new thing.

She sat like this and played until I had to move her. It hurts me just looking at it. I am still waiting for her to take off...

Finally, a big thank you to Nannie for salvaging Paxi's bunnny. Nannie doesn't sew...

but she saved the bunny, just for PGL!
