Spring Break FUN

Pax and I were on Spring Break this past week and in order to avoid total boredom, we planned some fun activities to keep us busy. Since I have been working at P's school, I have made some new (some I knew way before) mommy friends that I can hang out with and let our kids play. I love it!! They invited Pax & I out a few days last week and we had a blast!!

Paxtin's school buddy, Scout, has an older brother Jett and he celebrated his 5th birthday last week. His mom asked us to come to a local paint your own pottery place for his little party! Pax REALLY enjoyed this place. And so did I. I am really looking into having her birthday party here.

After the pottery painting we all met and had pizza lunch at a game place in town. The kids ate and then Pax and I walked around a played all the fun games. She wasn't into the giant climbing tree house, but we can't win 'em all!!

Last week the weather was GORGEOUS, so the next day we wanted to do a picnic with the kids. We all met at Mt. Nebo and ate, played, and rode bikes. It was SUCH a fun time.

After a few low key days at home, it was time for the weekend and a trip home to see Cody's dad and family. We always enjoy going home to see his grandmother, grandpa, dad, etc...he has a HUGE family! NOTHING beats Sunday dinner at his Grandparents' farm. =)

Before we left, we had planned on taking Pax to a really neat place in Cody's home town called, The Wild Wildreness Drive-thru safari. It's a really fun place where they let various animals just roam free and you drive thru to look at them, feed them, and just gawk basically! I KNEW Pax would be into this. She loves animals and the closer the better. Unforunatley, the large animals like tigers, lions, and bears ARE in cages (or fortunatley??) so, pictures of them were hard to get. I did enjoy all the animals that came up to the car. Well...some of them. ; )

We will DEFINITLEY have to go back this summer. It was FREEZING the day we went...typical for where we live. :/ and some of the things we might have done on a warm day, were just too cold to try. i can't wait to take her back!!

Can you see the excitment in her face?! =)

The zebras were BY far my favorite. They were so sweet and just had no fear. I think Pax loved them just as much.

Then...there were these birds...EMU's. Talk about scary! They literally stuck their heads in the car. I now see why there was a sign about keeping your windows up!! Good grief they were nosey!

Before we left, pax pet a few animals and fell in love with the 'tangaroos' (kangaroos). She actually got into the caged area with them, but I was in momma bear mode at that point and didn't get a good picture. Those things can KICK!

We had such an amazing week together!

little song bird

Paxtin LOVES her school...and I love her school! They teach her lots of great things and I especially love that they incorporate bible stories and songs into their lessons. That's so important to me, that Paxtin be raised in the church and learn about her faith whenever possible. =) Her school is at the church that we attend, so she's used to going there for children church anyways!!

I accidentally cut the first video off before she was finished and the second video starts a little late! When you tell her to sing, you have to be ready to shoot, because she starts immediately and won't stop to let you get set up!

ENJOY!!

prayer

I think I've recorded this before, but she insists I get it again! She also has a song that she learned in school, "Praise Him." It's obviously her favorite because she sings it ALL THE TIME! I will post that one tomorrow after I get her to sing it clearly.

33 Months Old

I posted the pictures from the monthly photo shoot, but didn't have time to update on Pax!!

Paxtin at 33 Months:

I actually have height and weight measurements, which are hard to get these days, unless she's sick and has to go to the dr. Sooooo, of course we had to make our bi-annual allergy induced trip to the dr. and this time it resulted in a double ear infection discovery. :( Paxtin weighed in at 37 pounds and was 37 1/2 inches tall! I always think she is a little on the thin side, but trust me 37 lbs doesn't FEEL thin. ; )

In one week (Paxtin's Spring Break) we are enforcing potty training boot camp. I am praying this goes smoothly and tear-free, but that's hoping for a lot. I am just honestly SO, SO tired of changing diapers. It has become a hassle to try and find somewhere to change her (if we are at a b-day party or out at the park) and it's come down to the both of us just being lazy. A friend of mine sent me the 'three-day potty training method" and I'm going to give it my very best shot. Pray for us!!

I'm constantly reminded how FUN this age is. This past weekend we went to a princess dress-up/tea party. (Pictures coming tomorrow!) And OH my GOODNESS, it was precious. Even the smallest things, that we take for granted, are special and new in the eyes of a toddler. I LOVE it! Paxtin has come so far in coming out of her shell. I think it is more ME that now worries. She's a total chatterbox and chats it up with just about anyone. You forget sometimes she's almost three. =)

I am trying to come up with ideas for her 3rd birthday...I know I have three months, but it will be here before I know it. Our town is very limited in party spaces, so I hope to find something fun and affordable!

HAPPY 33 MONTHS LAMBIE!!!
