Park Playdate

Today was a gorgeous day-a little windy, but not too bad. So, my friend Mandy and I decided to arrange a play date at the park for her son, Hayden and Paxtin. Hayden and Pax were born 3 months apart and have had a few play dates together in the past. I think she was more interested in all the fun stuff at the park, than Hayden, but it was fun to hang out with my friend Mandy while they played.

Paxtin is still a little unsure about the whole slide situation, but once she goes down, she's so happy she did. It's just the anticipation that gets her upset. I've got quite the cautious Cathy on my hands here. ;)

Paxtin meets baby Carter

One of my oldest friends, Jessie, recently had her first baby. A sweet boy she named Carter. He is just gorgeous. I have been trying to get over to visit him and her since the day he came home, but of course didn't want to crowd them as they began to adjust to life as three. =)

Paxtin is FASCINATED by babies. She loves all their gadgets and gear and really loves to help take care of them. She is going to make such an amazing big sister one day. We visited and for a bit and I took home a serious case of baby fever after holding that precious angel. It is definitely beginning to set in for me. I am ready to start thinking about baby number two and hopefully after we get our new house renovated and get moved in-we can put that plan into action!

I think that Jessie is making an AMAZING mommy-she was just a natural (like I knew she would be) and she's got one stinkin' cute little man on her hands. It is great that these are the kids that Pax will one day grow up with. So neat. Pax will be the older woman in the group-showing everyone the ropes. SCARY. =)

Apologies

I've been an absentee blogger. BUT-we have some major things going on in our lives right now. This past October, we put our house on the market ourselves-just to kind of see what interest we could get. Well, we close on it today and officially move out this weekend. YES-my stress level is at an all time HIGH. I even forgot to take my child's 22 month photo. :\

Annnd...as if moving and remodeling our new home wasn't enough, Paxtin is cutting her final two 2 year molars AND developed her first ear infection. It has been an interesting 2 weeks-and I will be glad when we can get settled into our new home. Speaking of that 22 month photo-I couldn't even get the girl to SMILE the past 3 days long enough to be photographed. So, hopefully she will come around in the next day or two and be back to her smiley self.

I haven't noticed that Pax can tell a thing about moving-I have tried to explain to her that we are getting a new house, but all she notices are the toys that are missing. She just keeps on plugging along and being her cute little self.

I may be a bad blogger again for a week or two, but will try to check in and of course, update the photos of P. =)

Easter Weekend Wrap-up

I love Easter. It's such a fun holiday and having a little one makes it that much more fun! =) My mom and I started the weekend Sat. with a trip to the city mall for lunch and to let Paxtin meet the Easter Bunny. I asked her in this picture if she wanted to meet the "big bunny?" Pretty sure she had no idea what I was talking about.

But she found out soon enough. And I have to say that she was an absolute SHOCK while meeting the E.B. She wasn't afraid at all and sat there with him, talked to him, even tried to get his nose. Maybe Santa will go this way next year?! Not holding my breath there...

Once Cody was off work, we packed up and headed to his family in NWA. We had a great dinner and then got up to see what the Easter Bunny had brought for P. She really is still too little to 'get it', but CANDY is a universal language ALL kids speak. =)

She is has apparently been a sweet baby-look at all her loot. ; )
Then we all went to church and took some family photos afterwards. This is just part of Cody's huge family!

And as you can see, Pax was OVER the whole thing.

I did think that I had not one picture of her in her Easter dress, but Bambi sent me these and I was so excited!! Pax and her daddy coordinated outfits. =)

After her nap and daddy played some golf, it was time for Easter dinner at the Lawlis Farm. I was happy that we decided to stay for the dinner and egg hunt. Paxtin had a really great time hunting for eggs with her cousins and it was adorable the way they helped her out.

She caught on VERY quick.

We had such a BUSY weekend, but it was a fun one for sure. Even with a molar cutting toddler. :-/ Paxtin is a very blessed little girl-seems like everyone thought of her in one way or another on Easter.
