The big upset

We finally made it to the Hill to see our Razorbacks in action. I was SOO excited to get to go, since we haven't been to see them play since I got pregnant with Paxtin. We couldn't miss this game-we were playing the #1 team in the nation and everyone who was anyone, in the state, wanted to be there. We actually got so lucky and got the best of both worlds! One of Cody's great friends and his wife invited us to stay the weekend with them and go to the game. We were willing to pay LOTS of money for these tickets and they invited us for free. We couldn't pass up the opportunity. Especially to see our friends, it had been over 4 years since we saw them last.

I was just as excited to hang out with Jared and Chassie as I was to see the Hogs. =) And MOST excited to see their new baby, Sawyer. While it wasn't the outcome we had hoped for, the game was the most fun I've had in a really long time.

Paxtin got to spend the weekend with her MiMi and Poppy T in Branson, which I KNOW she loved. =) I told her way back on Tuesday she was going and she talked about it every minute until we got there to meet them. I really, really missed her and can't wait until I can take her to the games with us.

Fun Park Day

The extreme heat has FINALLY let up and we are able to get back out and do fun things outside. =)

Tues we headed to the park to try and beat a HUGE rain cloud. Luckily we did and Pax had a blast. I have to tell you that this is NOT my child-I don't know WHO this kid was at the park! My kid, the one who was TERRIFIED of the giant inflatables we rented for her birthday (price disclosed :( and the child who SCREAMS when I go through a car wash...

went down the monster slide on the big kid playground side like it weren't nothin'.

She had so much fun getting to run around and not pass out from heat exhaustion-I promised her we would go many, many more days...until she can't stand it because it's then too cold. Dang weather. =)

27 Months

Yep...I forgot. Worst. mommy. ever. :(

So, potty training is going rough. We aren't making ANY progress. I've tried every 'secret' I can come up with and nothing seems to be clicking. I just have to have faith that one day she's just going to wake up, go to the potty, and use it. She has a potty that she sits on and enjoys it-she just won't pee in it. I even bought her panties to try! I guess I thought if she had an accident in panties, it would feel worse than in a diaper and make her hate to pee anywhere but the potty. NOPE. Not Pax. I think she knows how easy the diaper is and she's comfortable with it. I can't blame her. ; ) It's gonna be on her time and I don't care at what age ANY other kid trains. We will train when she is ready. She's for sure on the right track.

Everything else for Pax is going wonderful. She's so funny, such a jokster, and I love to listen to her convos with her dolls. It has been a little trying lately with the discipline area. She is getting into her personality and letting it OUT. We are still using full time-out, which she hates, and even spanking when necessary. It's our method, not for everyone.

I can not believe she is almost 2 and 1/2. The time is flying and I am getting that baby fever so bad. =)

LOVE you Lambie-HAPPY 27 Months.

waaaay back Wednesday

Don't we make the prettiest babies? ; )

Visit from Maelyn

Friday, Pax and I had lunch with an old friend of mine and she brought her 1 year old daughter, Maelyn. Pax and Maelyn hit it off right away and I invited them back to our house to see the new renovations and let the girls play. I can't wait to have them both over again soon. =)

so far behind...

I've been so terrible about sitting down and uploading pics! There were so many cute ones trapped on my camera, waiting to be seen...

This past weekend we took Pax out shopping for a few new Fall things-shes a natural at shopping, of course! She got lots of new dresses, jackets, jeans, etc for the season. And it completely WORE her out. She slept in til almost 8:30 Saturday morning!

We also worked on getting out some of our Fall decorations. Paxi insisted I take her picture in front of the scarecrow. I put up all the decorations inside and out and Pax helped daddy work outside. The weather was finally amazing and she could stay outside all day and not sweat to death.

We've still been doing our weekely walks with Nolan & Amy. Trying out different neighborhoods and recently walking indoors since its been rainy this week. I think it's safe to say Pax and Nolan are becoming buddies for life. :)

I have been working hard on my new house-getting it all decorated and just how I like it. I've added little touches of me throughout the house. I LOVE hand painted canvases, I just can't paint! Luckily, my friend Sara is amazing and did a couple cute pieces for me. She did this one for Paxi's room, which matches her new owl bedding colors to a T and also this HOGS canvas which I'm obsessed with. :) she is my new canvas painter and I'm already thinking up new ideas. ; )

I was able to get a little crafty and make this art display for Paxtin's room. I wanted a clothesline type display, but not a super long one or anything metal and industrial looking. This is how it turned out and its perfect for P! I will rotate her MDO crafts on it throughout the year.

Speaking of my new house, I wanted to put up pics of the house totally furnished and decorated right next to the before pics of each room. I've got all my Fall decor up, my new furniture in, and to me, it looks fabulous. I'm so happy with the way everything came out!! I will have that blog ready to go tomorrow-stay tuned!!
